The second session of the first MosTeca morning programme combines a screening, a discussion and a tasting of local products.
The session opens with Todos los días Domingo, by Abraham López Feria, a director who has devoted himself wholeheartedly to recovering the oral and film history of tuna butchering (ronqueo) and the production of mojama along the coasts of Huelva and Cádiz. This tradition, deeply rooted in his family, has now largely fallen into oblivion.
After the screening, the documentary’s director will be joined by Josep Sucarrats (Món Arrels), Anna Bozzano (marine biologist and head of the outreach project Del peix al plat) and winemaker Ton Mata (Recaredo L’Infinit) for a discussion exploring the current challenges facing local fisheries, the value of locally sourced products and the role we play as consumers.
To round off the session, a tasting table will offer a selection of artisanal products, including Ayamonte tuna mojama and L’Infinit sparkling wine by Recaredo.
