The 2026 Most Festival invites the Urban Vineyards Association (UVA) as its special guest; this international collective brings together projects dedicated to preserving resilient vineyards in urban settings around the world. These viticultural spaces—often threatened by urban development pressure—champion the heritage, environmental, social, and landscape value of vineyards within cities.
The association aims to protect the rural, historical, and landscape heritage represented by urban vineyards and to highlight their value from cultural and tourism perspectives. It seeks to make them productive for the community and the future—in harmony with the environment—through viticultural and social policies focused on integration and sustainability.
As agricultural, historical, and cultural assets of immense value, vines cultivated in cities are often true treasures of biodiversity: ancient varieties—sometimes including extremely rare specimens and biotypes within a region’s ampelographic landscape—that have been propagated over centuries without ever being replaced.
