The feature film Camí Ral. La Ruta Oblidada, directed by Sant Boi native Xavier Sánchez, with music by Vilafranca native Roger Subirana, is the result of extensive historical and territorial research that highlights the importance of the ancient Camí Ral between Barcelona and Vilafranca del Penedès, formerly known as the “Via Mercadera”, a millennia-old route that was the main economic and social driving force between Barcelona and southern Catalonia until the 18th century.
