The second morning session of MosTeca 2026 features a screening of the short film Kanenon: we. Original Seeds, by Katsitsionni Fox, followed by a discussion and a tasting featuring artisanal, locally sourced products.
The session opens with a screening of Kanenon: we. Original Seeds, a short film showing how Indigenous women preserve traditional seed-keeping practices to strengthen their community’s food sovereignty.
This will be followed by a discussion entitled Recovering Native Seeds, featuring Stefanie Gnucci (Banc de Llavors del Penedès), Ramon Gassó (Col·lectiu Eixarcolant) and Lluís Giralt (INCAVI), moderated by Albert Cabré (Banc de Llavors del Penedès). Together, they will explore how vineyards, vegetable gardens and fruit trees can be brought into dialogue to highlight the value of recovering traditional crop varieties.
To round off the session, we will enjoy a tasting featuring baked goods from the Jorba bakery, must from Ateneu Cal Cisteller and Recaredo L’Infinit sparkling wine.
Organised by Col·lectiu Eixarcolant as part of Mostra de Cinema Etnobotànic.
