From Provence to Burgundy, passing through Gard, Paris and Languedoc, we discover the last monastic wine-producing communities in France. This documentary confronts the profane and material nature of wine with its sacred nature through the mysteries of transubstantiation. Focusing on the spiritual life and winemaking work of the monks and nuns, but also on the ritual of the Eucharist in these monasteries, highlighting the brothers and sisters who perpetuate a millenary tradition.
